Danny and Talissa Smith moved to Casper in August 2021 to plant Platte River Bible Church on the west side of town. Married since 2001, they have three kids (Lucas – 19, Emma -16, and Jackson – 14).

Danny earned his Masters of Divinity from MidAmerica Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN. Primarily serving as a Pastor in Arkansas, Danny has been involved in church planting in the Rocky Mountain West since 2016. Talissa works in education and currently works with the Child Development Center in Casper.

Our hope is to plant a biblically faithful church that reaches a community, state, and region that is over 80% unchurched. Our goal is also to develop a seminary in Wyoming to help train pastors to plant churches all over the world.
