Gonzalo and Rachel Cordova are missionaries and church planters in San Jose, Costa Rica.

They serve in the slum community of Pavas. Gonzalo serves as the teaching pastor at their church plant, Iglesia Fortaleza.The church started as a small discipleship group in 2015 and since then has grown to several families. Gonzalo completed his bachelor’s degree in theology at Seminario ESEPA (Escuela de Estudios Pastorales)(Seminary School of Pastoral Studies) in San Jose, Costa Rica in January 2024.

Gonzalo is from Santiago, Chile and Rachel is from Madison, AL, USA. They met in 2012 serving together at Youth With A Mission in San Jose, Costa Rica.

They got married in 2016 and have been blessed with three children, Santiago, Rebekah Joy and Esteban.

Their goal is to share the hope of the gospel and make disciples in their home, church and the community of Pavas all for the glory of Christ.
