Church Engagement Specialist
REMOTE POSITION – 40 HOURS PER WEEK
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Seek to move all of God’s people toward obedience to the Great Commission
- Clearly communicate DTN’s mission with churches and educate them about partnerships
- Resource church leaders through a coaching relationship to help them assess, develop, and mobilize their members for overseas work
- Equip churches by leading trainings/seminars on the biblical basis of missions and other necessary topics (i.e. evangelism, disciple-making, cross-cultural ministries)
- Empower churches to send well by equipping them to institute care and advocacy teams
- Communicate with sending churches to ensure missionaries are well-cared-for and that churches understand and are following their required role
- Assist in the development of resources for churches for use in Great Commission ministry
- Seek church partnerships for various short-term needs of overseas projects
- Collaborate with other DTN departments to maximize the partnership for church partners
- Travel periodically to visit partners and prospective partners, and to participate in events
- Raise 100% financial support (i.e. salary, benefits, retirement, ministry-related expenses)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A committed Christian with a deep and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is demonstrated in Christ-like character and integrity
- A passionate heart for God’s glory, His word, His church, and making disciples of all nations
- Strategic thinker; bold, yet patient; willing to joyfully walk with churches by equipping and enlisting them for Great Commission ministry
- Full agreement with DTN’s statement of belief, core convictions, and ministry DNA
- Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and administrative skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced ministry degree preferred
