God called José and Areli to the mission field, leading them to Guatemala in 2017. They have been serving as missionaries alongside local churches, helping them grow in health and Gospel-centeredness. They walk alongside church leaders and their congregations to strengthen local churches according to the biblical marks of a healthy church—so that they increasingly reflect God’s character as revealed in Scripture. Their ministry includes teaching, training, discipleship, counseling, developing church leaders and ministries, fellowship, and fostering Gospel-centered relationships. José also serves as an elder at their local church in Guatemala. José earned his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Areli is currently pursuing theological studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
