Laura first felt called to missions at the age of 14, when she heard there was a need for Sunday School teachers in the former Soviet Union. In 2000, God gave her the desire of her heart when she was sent to serve as a missionary to children and youth in Ukraine. For 12 years, Laura had the privilege of facilitating Sunday School training, Camp Outreach, and discipleship throughout many regions in Ukraine.
In 2012, she and her family returned to the United States where she taught English to at-risk students for 6 years. After that, she and her family returned to Uzhhorod, Ukraine where they now serve. Laura is the Women’s Ministry Director of New Hope Baptist Church. Her son William serves on New Hope’s media team and her daughter Anastasia serves on the hospitality team.
In the past three years, God has given Laura the opportunity to disciple many women in her local community and to travel to other regions of the country to teach and encourage women. Much of her time is spent on a church planting team that is organizing a church for international students studying in their city.
