Cities internationally are greatly increasing in their ethnic diversity
and we as the Church need to grow in our ability to reach out to the
growing multi-cultural, multi-ethnic peoples inside and outside our
church fellowships.
We trust that this beginning list of resources will be helpful for you.
Please do let us know of other related resources which you feel we should
add to our site.
Thank you.

VERY HELPFUL BOOK TO HELP THOSE INVOLVED IN MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION
IN THE CHURCH:
"WHAT COLOR IS YOUR GOD?: Multicultural Education in the Church - Examining
Christ and Culture in Light of the Changing Face of the Church" by James
& Lillian Breckenridge
Copyright 1995 by Baker Books
PO Box 6287, Grand Rapids, MI 49516-6287
From the back cover: "The increasingly diverse nature of N. American
society has created its own mission field only a short distance from
any church door. Any attempt to communicate the gospel within this context
demands not only the courage of evangelization, but also that of self-examination.
Here is a work for individuals and churches of all colors who are genuinely
interested in discovering the impact and implications of ministry in
our multicultural society. Our cultural diversity has created an opportunity
for the true message of Christiantiy to be heard in a unique and wonderful
way. Convinced that greater understanding and reconciliation is possible,
the authors suggest ministry models appropriate for the African-American,
Hispanic-, Asian- and Native-American cultures. Multicultural education
in the church is not only possible, it is essential if we are to fulfill
our calling to be "all one in Christ Jesus"..."
This book is well documented and very helpful.
