* You can take lessons on one of the culture's traditional instruments you might want to take lessons by a well-known teacher of this instrument
* You can attend a university in your focus area and take courses in language, culture, history, music, art, etc...
* You can coordinate/establish a recording studio to help facilitate musicians from your people group, especially those that have become believers, by recording their music/worship tape projects (which can then be potentially made available to Christian radio ministries that are focusing on your focus group.
* You can potentially work for a North American or European company (for example), and be an outlet for them to sell their musical equipment and sound systems, etc. in the host country - especially since western music is becoming more and more popular in every country
* You can teach certain aspects of music in local universities in your focus area
* You can do research projects to study the many aspects of the music or art of your particular focus people depending on your training/background, its possible that you could be funded through foundations or scholarships, etc...especially if you are a trained ethnomusicologist, for example.
* You can join an orchestra or symphony in a city among your focus people
* If in a village where the music has never been written down, ethnomusicologists can analyze the music and teach the people how to read and write their own music so they can pass it on.
* teach the technical aspects of MIDI/keyboards/sequencing, etc. in universities of the people group as a way of expanding their music depts. and also to give them the increased western training/influence which they are often looking for. Or perhaps set up a training studio and in this way train folks who are interested in using these kinds of contemporary instruments/capacities, etc.
* The idea of importing and exporting world music or ethnic arts may be helpful...
* I think some musicianaries could well do some of/or finish their music training in another culture...
We desire to see PEOPLE MOVEMENTS happen as a result of this new thrust of utilizing ethnic worship and the arts in the overall vision!...
May God give you many more creative ideas which can be utilized to see His name glorified among the nations as we encourage the expression of indigenous worship of the one true God through music and the arts.
