INTRO RE NETWORKING
-----------------------
One of the vital roles in the Church today is to help to connect the Body of Christ in its multi-faceted aspects in order that we can work TOGETHER to see His purposes accomplished in and through us!

This is also so true in the realm of music, the arts and media in the Great Commission!

We all need each other and can do so much more as we partner together with a servant heart and an attitude of humility and mutual submission as we fix our hearts and eyes on Jesus and His purposes!

Though not everyone is gifted, as much as others may be, with the abilities to network or develop partnerships, some of you, too, may be sensing the stirring of the Holy Spirit in your hearts to be involved in this type of ministry.

On this page are some very helpful resources in that regard, and if this is something that God has put on your hearts, we would love to hear from you and potentially help to coach you in these ways, too, if you’re in need of that type of service.

Also, if you are already networking with others, perhaps we could discuss ways that we could pool our resources/databases, etc. so that the information can be shared for the benefit of the Body of Christ. To contact us: gcwac@hotmail.com

My ministry goal is to recruit and help prepare Christian musicians for cross-cultural ministry and to assist churches worldwide to develop indigenous forms of music for worship, edification, and evangelism. I am a professor of music in the Fine Arts Department at Prairie Bible College, Three Hills, AB, and an adjunct professor (Theology of Worship, Ethnomusicology) at Prairie Graduate School, Calgary, AB. Prairie offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs with specializations in various areas of contemporary music ministry and applied ethnomusicology. Courses in theology and practice of worship and ethnomusicology are also available through the Institute in Applied Ethnomusicology Institute which is held in May and June each year at Prairie's Three Hills campus. CLARK, Debra Jane:
-------------------------------
Email: djclark@wingnet.net
Cleveland, TN USA
* I am interested in Praise & Worship Music. I am a vocalist/electric guitarist, preparing for a ministry as a bi-lingual Psalmist.
* I will be singing lyrics in the Egyptian Arabic & English languages. I would like to find some EXCELLENT session players of Egyptian music, comparable to the style & dynamics of Umm Kulthum, who are passionate about Christ and anointed of God. I would like to make a test cassette in radio format, for distribution to the Christian radio stations...(for more details contact me directly).
* The services of these musicians and the recording studio time would need to be donated, or I would need to find a financial backer for this project. I would like to sing Praise & Worship in the Christian Churches of Egypt... In the future, as the Lord opens the door, I would like to advance this effort into other regions. I would also like to sing these Arabic/English Psalms at any churches in the US who would like to contribute to this ministry toward my calling...
* I am currently enrolled in nursing school, as a part of this process. It will take me about 3-4 yrs. to complete my training. In the meantime, I hope to be working on my test cassette project, and can sing at churches on the weekends, and in Cairo in the summers.
* I am asking the Lord for a healing ministry as a Psalmist. Jesus says that signs and wonders will follow those that believe. Psalm 22:3 says that the Lord inhabits the praises of His people, and so as I sing to Him, He shows up, and healings happen!
* I have had extensive experience as a singer/guitarist in Nashville, TN. I have made 5 albums, and have worked with some of the best session players in the music business. I have not yet found a way to distribute my music, perhaps, because the Lord was directing me to this Psalmist ministry, which is a higher calling. I hope to work with dedicated musicians who want to give their best to God, for the sake of His Kingdom work, and have a Godly attitude toward their perspective ministries, and want to serve the Lord with the talents that He has given to them, all for His Glory!

LeHAIE, Perry

Email address: plahaie@flc.org
Web site address: amazon.com (search Perry LaHaie)
Date: Sept- 2002

"the afternoon guy" has served at 99 seven, Family
Life Radio, Midland, Michigan since 1989. Perry hosts the afternoon show
and is the assistant manger. He's been involved in radio since the early
80s-earlier than that if you count pretending to be a DJ as a kid. Along
with radio, Perry has an active music ministry. As a singer, songwriter,
guitarist he's recorded four CDs of original songs since 1988. Perry has
had the honor of sharing his life and music in Russia in 1993, in Turkey in
1999 and in Mexico in 2001-the whole "fam," Teresa, Kali and Taylor, was
part of this Mexico trip! Oh, and by the way, he still enjoys singing in
the shower from time to time. The goal of Perry's music is to deepen our
love for Jesus and to deepen our desire to join Him in reaching the nations.
Check out Perry's web page at amazon.com by searching Perry LaHaie. Perry
and his wife Teresa were married in 1985. They have two beautiful kids,
Kali and Taylor-Perry and Teresa enjoy dates on Wednesday nights when the kids
are at church! In addition to being a great mom, Teresa is the Special
Education Director at Midland Bullock Creek-how she does it all is an
amazing thing to watch! In Perry's free time he likes to play basketball,
ride his mountain bike, read challenging stuff like The Case For Faith by
Lee Strobel and What's So Amazing About Grace by Phillip Yancey, and read
science fiction (in particular, the continuing Star Wars series).

Location (city, province/state/country): Midland, Michigan, USA

Art/Music involvement/dreams:
The Mission and Vision of Perry's music ministry: Missio Christus
The mission of Missio Christus; the reason this ministry exists is to
facilitate the worship of Jesus and to infuse vision for reaching unreached
people groups: Groups of people tied together by language and culture that
have no church. Missio Christus is first, worship and then, missions-focused.

The vision of Missio Christus, or fleshing out of the mission occurs through
the concert music ministry of Perry LaHaie. Perry's ministry begins with
worship; focusing on our gracious Lord. Out of this context of worship,

God's passion for his glory among all people groups becomes ours. For when
we come face to face with who God is through worship, it changes us. When
we see God in his glory and grace, like Isaiah, we too will say, "here am I,
send me!" In worship we recognize the awesome, limitless grace of God

toward us and come to realize that our sole purpose in life is to know and
glorify Christ and to make him known. So again, Perry's commitment is
first
to worship and then, out of a context of worship, to impart vision for
reaching those who have yet to believe, in every culture.

Finally, the larger context of this ministry is the Missio Christus, the
Mission of Christ found in Luke 19:10: "For the Son of Man came to seek
and
to save what was lost." So we strive to align ourselves with the purpose
of
Jesus' first coming: To bring Jesus' salvation to all; to our neighbors
and
to the nations, so that someday some from every people group will worship
him!

Resources/training available: Perry has 4 CDs of original songs. His
music focuses on deepening our love for Jesus and deeping our desire to
join Him in reaching all peoples with the gospel. Call Perry at 1-800-776-1030
or write him at 510 E. Isabella Rd. Midland, MI 48640. You can also
sample
and order his latest CD at amazon.com. (search Perry LaHaie). Perry is
also available for concerts: A Perry LaHaie concert is a journey to
experience God's grace. First we'll take a fresh look at God's grace; try
to gain a renewed understanding of grace. And once we

gain that renewed understanding, we'll hopefully be able to answer the question, "So what?
What does this mean for me in my everyday life?" The concert will be in
moments light and fun, at other times worshipful. I'll be very honest
about
my own journey. I will try to communicate the intimacy of Christ but also
that he is the Lord of all peoples who invites us to join him in his work
in
the world. It'll be very personal, real and passionate without a lot of
bells and whistles. So come expecting! I will as well.
