AUTHORITY IN PRAYER: Praying With Power and Purpose

Many
of you are familiar with Dutch Sheet's very helpful book INTERCESSORY PRAYER!
I believe his book AUTHORITY IN PRAYER is a necessary and timely follow-up
to his first book.
Growing numbers of believers across the globe are gaining
a deepening understanding of the reality that we have been called as 'kings
and priests' as we cooperate with Jesus in causing His Kingdom to come and
His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven…
Most of us have some sense of what it means to function
as a 'priest', yet many of us are not sure of our identity, on a functional
level, as the kings/queens/priests that we were created to be - the role/function
God created us to exercise with Him which was stolen by the enemy in the Garden
of Eden, but then RESTORED to us through the cross!
(Exodus 19:6"…you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy
nation.' Hebrews 7:1 [ Melchizedek the Priest ] This Melchizedek was king
of Salem and priest of God Most High." Hebrews 7:17 For it is declared:
"You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek."Revelation
1:6 To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has
made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father-to him be
glory and power for ever and ever! Amen." Revelation 5:10 You have made
them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on
the earth."
It is time to wake up to the reality of who we are and
function in our true identity as kings and priests in His Kingdom, and I believe
Dutch's very helpful book about this will be of much encouragement to you
in that regard!
We are told that in the end the Gospel of the Kingdom will
be preached all over the earth, and THEN the end will come… Matthew 24:14
"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as
a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
1 Corinthians 15:24 "Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom
to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power."
Until recently (the past several years or so), it seems to be that there has been little taught/preached about the Kingdom of God, but times are changing as God seems to be preparing us to move into the Kingdom season to a degree we have never yet experienced to date….I believe it is part of the fulfillment of the passages above, and Dutch's book helps us to understand that kingdoms are about governance and how we as the Church need to rise up in true servant-hearted humility with confidence in our King as we cooperate with Him in walking as He walked (1 John 2:6 "Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did..") by destroying the devil's work (1 John 3:8 "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.") as we walk with Him one step at a time by His power.
This reign/rule is not a controlling, manipulative, domineering and oppressive kind of rule (as the rule of the enemy is/antichrist will be)…we are to reign with a servant heart of love and humility, demonstrating His will and through decreeing, proclaiming and declaring the will of God into situations. It is HIS will that we are agreeing with to unlock His will and bring it into being on earth. (Matthew 16:19 "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
May this book encourage you to learn to exercise His authority in your life, family and in situations around you as you grow in your development as one of His kings/queens/priests!
