REACHING THE LOST through A TIME TO CRY OUT: Music Congress

at: the PLAZA OF NATIONS, Vancouver, BC
On August the 23rd, 2003, our church ( Iglesia Evangelica Restauracion) will be hosting the very first event of this calibur done in Canada, a Praise and Worship Congress at the Plaza of Nations.
A "well known" Christian Spanish singer Jesus Adrian Romero (probably equal to english singer Michael W. Smith....something like that) will be coming from Mexico with his worship team to host this day long event.
PURPOSE
REACHING THE LOST is a ministry branck of the Evangelical Restoration Church. The purpose of this ministry is to look for people, especially youth and adults, that have an unhealthy lifestyle involved in substance abuse, and/or crime and violence, delinquency, etc. REACHING THE LOST has been focusing on this bracket of society, presenting a light by showing love and affection and friendship, not only ours but the secure and loyal friendship of Jesus Christ who is able to defend them from the giant hurt and destruction that they live in or are going towards.
REACHING THE LOST has the desire to aid in the restoration of lives, and it is for that reason that we are preparing a special event on Aug 23, 2003 which is a Music Congress. We have invited JESUS ADRIAN ROMERO and his musical band to celebrate wtih us at the Plaza of Nations.
Our team has a special vision to reach the lost people on the streets of Vancouver and through the Lower Mainland and bring them to the love and family of Jesus. Through this Music congress there is great potential for many doors to open and for this ministry to achieve its long term purpose. In addition, this event will be completely free for those that attend in order for thousands to come with liberty and enjoy the blessings that God has for them and truly live a content and abundant life.
The morning will be a music seminar on how we can be better " Adorers of Jesus" and the evening will be this FREE massive concert where we are expecting 4000-5000 people. and know that the Lord will draw many lives to HIM! PRAISE THE LORD!
Along with this I have a few prayer requests :
1st for FAITH FAITH FAITH! THAT everything is possible in HIM who give us
strength
2nd for a perfect venue for the Music Seminar ( the FREE
concert will be in the Plaza of Nations, but the seminar is still without
a location)
3. for unity within the Spanish speaking churches
4. Finances ( there is a budget of about $50,000 for this
event, and the Lord knows that this event is solely to exalt HIS HOLY name)
5. for me to have balance to manage with School, work and being the event coordinator for this event!

Jesús Adrián nació el 16 de febrero en la ciudad de Hermosillo Sonora, México.
Cursó estudios bíblicos y fué pastor
por nueve años. Pastoreó por tres años una congregación
en Van Nuys California mientras asistía al seminario, después
Dios lo llamó a fundar la comunidad cristiana: "Amistad y Vida"
en Aguaprieta Sonora. Actualmente "Amistad y Vida" es una congregación
sólida y floreciente que esta bendiciendo la ciudad, bajo la dirección
del Pastor Juan Salvador Franco. Jesús Adrián fué también
pastor asistente en Vino Nuevo en Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua por 4 años,
bajo el liderazgo del pastor Víctor Richards, donde estuvo a cargo
de las células y dirigía uno de los grupos de alabanza de la
congregación.
Por tres años fué director de alabanza del grupo De Hombre a
Hombre con el que viajó a través de México dirigiendo
la alabanza en los congresos de De Hombre a Hombre.
Tiene cinco grabaciones a su crédito. "Renuevo
Espiritual", que grabó a dueto con su esposa Pecos. "Unidos
por la Cruz", que se grabó en vivo en uno de los congresos "De
Hombre a Hombre" en Ciudad Juárez Chih. el cual contiene coros
como "Sumérgeme", "Con mi Dios", y "Sentado
en su trono" entre otros. "Cerca de ti", que fuera grabada
en vivo en Ciudad Juárez, Chih, el 13 de febrero de 1998. Después
prosigue con la grabación "Con Manos Vacías". Finalmente,
su más reciente grabación: "A sus Pies", ha constituído
un acercamiento cada vez más profundo a la adoración e invita
más y más a la intimidad con Dios.
Jesús Adrián esta casado con Pecos Romero y tienen tres hijos: Adrián Roberto, Jaanai Michelle y Melisa Janet. Viven en El Paso, TX. E.U.A. y se congregan en Vino Nuevo de Cd Juárez.
Después de haber pastoreado por nueve años ahora Jesús Adrián esta dedicado a dirigir alabanza y adoración y compartir a través de México, Estados Unidos Latinoamérica. Es fundador del ministerio de "Vástago Producciones", dedicado a la producción y distribución de música cristiana, especialmente la alabanza y la adoración.

Jesus Adrian Romero was born in Hermosilla Sonora, Mexico. He was a pastor for 9 years, and led a Christian Music Group "De Hombre a Hambre"- translated means "From Man to Man" - for 3 years touring various Christian men's conferences throughout Latin America.
Currently he has recorded 5 productions, and has set precedent with the lyrics and ingenity of his songs, impacting the Central and South American peoples, as well as the Spanish speaking North Americans, in addition to recording in Japan.
More recently, Jesus Adrian Romero, accompanied by his music group, have focused on the YOUTH GENERATION. As he says "I am convinced that there has ever been a generation like this one. In the midst of so much sin...I believe that God has poured out His gifts on this generation of youth like never before...I motivate youth to give their 'all' to the Lord in these very exciting days. I believe that we will see impressive things if we put ourselves in the hands of God."
Jesus Adrian is married to Pecos Romero and they have three children: Adrian Roberto, Jaanai Michelle and Melisa Janet. They live in El Paso, TX and congregate at Vino Muevo church in the city of Juarez.
Romero is also the founder of VASTAGO PRODUCCIONES, dedicated to the production and distribution of Christian Music, especially praise and worship music, throughout the globe.
"...Here's a little bit about my background... I'm 24 years old, both my parents are Lebanese. And about 7 years ago Jesus transformed my heart, my mind, my entire life.
For the first two years of being a Christian I attended Victory Christian Centre where the worship music impacted my life in amazing ways...I had always dreamed about being part of music in some way to serve the Lord.
Then in 1998 I began to attend a Spanish speaking church....the
story of how I began to speak Spanish etc. is a very interesting one that
I will share the next time we talk, or else I'd write forever and ever! Anyways,
it was there in this little Spanish church where the Lord built me, "pruned"
me, molded me, and keeps on perfecting the work that He has started in my
life.
Currently, I am the lead keyboard player at my church...if you have experienced
a bit of Spanish music you'll know that it is upbeat, lively, expressive and
saturated with the Holy Spirit. Our music group is made up of about 11 people,
all youth, drums, congas, tambourines, bass, guitar, 2 keyboards, cow bells!
hee hee!! whittles! It's ALOT of fun! and we long to be " ADORADORES"
which means people who adore God...like an ADORer of the King....this is a
real bad translation, but I think you'll understand our heart.....
I am also the young women's leader at our church, and am seeing the Lord work
through Praise and Worship to touch the hearts of this young generation.
I can see and understand why the Lord has me in both these
awesome ministries and how they are uniquely connected. That is why my mission
statement, is to lead young women to discover and experience the truth! That
is my heart's desire! And I'm so blessed to say that I am seeing the Lord's
powerful hand move in a great way!..."
