Mission Statement - To increase the real and visible presence of Jesus within the city of Vancouver.

Guiding Principles
To affirm and strengthen the men and women who follow Jesus in the City to love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.
To build the bonds of support, love and fellowship among a diverse cross-section of people in both Vancouver and the Province of British Columbia.
To instill a vision of leadership centered in Jesus Christ, which has a deep commitment to our families, a few friends and then naturally extends to our places of work, the local community, Province, Country and the world.

Distinctives
To participate in a fellowship of men and women who share a common vision of the Kingdom of God by loving Jesus, supporting each other and reaching the world for Christ.
To be a pastoral and spiritual resource to the unchurched in the city of Vancouver.
To facilitate, encourage and network Christ-centered visions, ministries, events and individuals focused on the city.
To encourage people to take the next step in their spiritual lives towards Jesus Christ, through various opportunities of evangelism, small groups, bible study, discipleship and mentoring in ways that affect their private, working and social life.
To challenge those in society whom God has blessed with resources of any kind (such as power, wealth, influence, skills, time, etc) to generously apply and share those resources with other in Gods Kingdom and world who have suffered from needs, inequities, pains and division both in our city and throughout the world.

One People: God who is one loving unity is represented by his Church - one loving unity. The Mountain is to be a continuous expression of this loving unity.

One Place: While each congregation of the Church expresses a presence in many neighborhoods, the Mountain is to be one shared place of retreat, a park where we can picnic together.

One Purpose: While the Church has a limitless diversity of tasks and doctrines, its one shared priority is God himself.

To Encounter God: There are various ways that the Mountain will facilitate our encountering God&

Worship: To love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength is our highest ambition. The Mountain is to be a place of continuous worship, using the creative arts, or simply saying: Father, I love you very much!

Prayer: God himself is the source of all good things and in response to his promise to answer, we will gather on the Mountain to bring to him our requests, 24 hours of the day, 7 days a week. Links to needs around the world will be channeled in via computer. Private cabins will facilitate those who seek privacy for prolonged seasons of prayer.

Welcome: God always has his arms open to receive newcomers to his family. The Mountain will express this welcome 24/7 offering hospitality, friendship and helpful programming.

Upstream is a group of Canadians who are bucking the flow, determined to make a difference!

We passionately love God and are overjoyed that he loves us. Drawing others into this relationship is our supreme joy.
