WRIGHT, Chris - see under WORSHIP LEADER / POETRY

WATER TO WINE: Collection of poems (originally published in 2000. With revisions, 2003)
http://www.artforgod.ca/Chris/Water%20to%20Wine%20page.htm
Artist: Chris Wright
For further info on Chris's book of poetry, check out this web page. All proceeds go towards the ministry work of the artist, who heads up the Westpointe Arts Ministry in Vancouver.

As well as this poetry book, there are several other art mediums represented, including painting, photography and music - you will find the book under the 'Poetry' section. There is an info page, with links to previews of three of the poems, as well as a link to a brief info page on the work of ministry I am involved in. If you are interested in ordering copies, please contact me at: christopherwright_@hotmail.com (This is the same email address you will be linked to through the website).

Please also note that under the 'Music' section of the website, the CD 'Heart Cry' is displayed, of which I was a part of the writing and recording. If you are interested in this CD, you are welcome to purchase these directly through me, using the contact info listed above.

More of my art work will appear soon: I have put together a collection of photography, and several of those photographs will be displayed and copies made available through the website.

Finally, two more projects:

Over the past year and more I have written and compiled a second book of poetry, titled Where Morning Dawns and Evening Fades.

I also have a music recording project underway, titled Glory.

God's love, favour and peace to you this season,

For His Glory, Chris

IMAGO's VANCOUVER ARTS NETWORK (VAN)

The Vancouver Arts Network is a new Imago project being developed to help create a network of artists and arts groups in the Vancouver area. Imago is a Toronto-based arts umbrella that facilitates the production and presentation of works by Christian artists. Consistent with Imago's mission statement, the Vancouver team will endeavour to 'exercise a biblically-based influence on the encouragement of the arts and artists' in this region. This will be done through showcase events, study groups, lectures, performances and advocacy for the arts.

On a national level, the project will become a vital link between the arts in Vancouver and Toronto, facilitating the exchange of ideas, resources and personnel, as well as providing an important Imago presence in BC.

The Vancouver Arts Network (VAN) will be led by Rob Des Cotes, a pastor and professional musician who has been active in theology and the arts for many years. Rob is also the director of the ManiFest Arts Group (www.manifestarts.com). Present board members include Elizabeth Gladden, Dale Bishop and Scott Campbell.

Some upcoming events for the Vancouver Arts Network include a July 'coming out' party, and a weekend Festival of the Arts scheduled for Sept. 28-30, 2001. You can subscribe to VAN's e-mail list at omegapro@direct.ca.

Also, you can subscribe to IMAGOtalk e-groups
