Dear Prayer Partners

It is with great joy that I can share with you how our wonderful Father
is blessing the planning and arrangements for the following set of
Christian Art Schools to be held in Moscow, Kislovodsk and Samara
from September 2002 to May 2003.

As we are preparing for these nine months of training and discipling
the students, we really need your prayer support every step of the
way.

God is stretching our faith as this is the first time that the School will
be held in other cities except Moscow. But I am overjoyed with the
wonderful response that we had after the first two Schools in Moscow
and thankful for our coordinators in Kislovodsk
and Samara.

First of all, some of you may ask the question "Why Arts?", and I
hope that this letter will convey in a simple way what I believe God's
heart is concerning the important place of the Arts in Russia and why
we are doing what we are doing.

A WORD FROM GOD

In June 1996, while attending a Psalmody Conference on worship in
Holland, I heard God's voice clearly, saying to me: "By the year 2000
there will be a School like this in Moscow."

His voice was so clear that I actually turned around to see "who"
spoke to me! At that stage, we were still living in Yaroslavl and I had
no way to know how wonderful God was going to orchestrate this
vision.

Through many miracles, the first School of Arts was held in Moscow
in October and November 2000. The second School was in April and
May of 2001, and now the time has come for the third set of schools in
three different cities.

OUR VISION

The training of Russian Christians to effectively use their creative
gifts and skills for the following purposes:
* The advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through creative
evangelism
* Advancing the Kingdom of God through anointed ministry to
believers
* Training others to do the same

STRATEGY

A. Training

Training of students take place in the setting of a School of Arts that
extends over a 3 month period.

B. Practical work

During and after this training period, ample time is given to do
practical work in the form of examinations and outreaches in
collaboration with their local churches.

OVERSIGHT

The Throne Room Ministries School of Arts is an extension of the
vision of "Creare Ministries International" in Bloemfontein, South
Africa.

In Russia the school submits under the oversight of the "Jesus is
Lord"church and thus founded upon the Christ-centered, Word-based
and Spirit-led principles of the church.

SUBJECTS

Lecturers give master classes in the following subjects:

Creative Evangelism, Praise and Worship, Drama, Mime, Clowning,
Puppets, Dance, Flags, Cloth, Tambourines, Arts and Crafts, Music
and Music theory, etc.

Special attention is given to the Christian artists' PERSPECTIVE on
God, creativity, himself and his gifts and talents.

Our desire is to express God's dream for the gifts and talents that He
gave us, and not to use them as tools for worldly performance and
building our own image.

WHY ARTS?

We firmly believe that in these last days God is raising up and
restoring the arts back to His church, where it belongs! God is the
only true fountain of creativity in the universe, and He is taking back
what rightfully belongs to Him.

We also believe that the Arts is a very important KEY to the heart of
the Russian nation, considering their own rich and immeasurable
cultural heritage. It takes only one visit to Russia to know that this
nation is TOUCHED by the arts and therefore it is necessary to
redeem this key to their hearts, to the glory of God.

PRAYER REQUESTS

I ask you to join with us in prayer for the following:

1. The students. Pray that the right people will come to each of the
three schools and that this will be a divine impartation in their lives
and future ministries.

2. The lecturers. Pray for them as they
prepare to come and serve in Russia, for their finances, their families
and all their last arrangements.

3. Our budget. Although we ask a student fee to cover some of the
costs, we have a specific need for more finances to cover all our
expenses. We are standing in faith and asking you to pray with us for
an amount of $1 000 for the first round of Schools, from September to
November 2002. If you are interested in seeing a detailed budget, I
would be happy to send it to you.

We are so blessed to have you praying with us and standing in faith
with us. We need your prayers and support to continue doing the
work of God in the harvest.
