GRACE'S SONGS

CONTENTS:

FOR THE SAKE OF THE GOSPEL

Intro: Oooooooo Ooooooo

In these days, around the world,
The Body of Christ is suffering
Many persecuted, tortured,
Laying down their lives.

Willing to lay down all they own
Willing to see their family’s torn
For the sake of the Gospel

Willing to see their bodies torn
Willing to leave the ones they’ve born/borne
Willing to wear a ‘crown of thorns’
For the Gospel

In these days, around the world,
The Spirit of the Lord is calling,
Will you, like them, risk it all,
For the sake of the Gospel?

Will you count the cost, My child?
Will you pay the price, My child?
For the sake of the Gospel?

(Are you) willing to see your bodies torn?
Willing to leave the ones you’ve born/borne?
Willing to wear a crown of thorns
For the Gospel?

These, the world is not worthy of them
These, are blessed for what they suffer
These, are your brothers and your sisters
So pray, as though you’re in this with them.

Pray, that I will comfort them
Pray that they will be true – faithful to the end.
Pray, that My Light will shine through
That others will know Me, too,
And live with me till the end

INTERLUDE:
Oooooo Ooooooooo

Read during Ooooooos
(Heb 11:32-40)…”And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, who throug faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised, who shut the mouts of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. Women received back their dead, raised to life again. Others were tortured and refused to be released so that they might gain a better resurrection. Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. They were stoned; they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated – the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground…

(small pause between verses)
(Rev 6:9)…”when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the Word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed….

(small pause) (Ps 116:15)…”Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints”….

(small pause) Matt 25:21…”The Master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your Master’s happiness!”

Resume singing: C
These, the world is not worthy of them
These, are your brothers and your sisters
So pray, that I will comfort them

Pray that they will be true – faithful to the end.
Pray, that My Light will shine through
That others will know Me, too,
And live with me till the end

Ending: (same as intro) Oooooooooooo Oooooooooooooo (slow down the last phrase).
