SOME IDEAS & SOME CURRENT EXAMPLES OF WHAT’S BEING DONE:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. WAIT OF THE WORLD - movie - This is a movie from the 80's which shows several potential scenarios where a number of Christian journalists are asked to do stories about certain regions, and each of them is sent into a situation where God gave them a burden to reach the lost in that type of situation. I remember finding this very entertaining and yet getting the message through when I watched it many years ago.

2. GUESS WHO'S COMING TO AMERICA
Released in 1992 by John Schmidt Productions
Mohammed the Muslim, first introduced in "The Wait of the World", comes to America and stays with T.J, his Christian writer friend. Prior to his coming, T.J. researches and studies the Muslim faith as he wants to convert Mohammed to Christianity. One night, the conversation turns to the subject, and T.J. is shocked when he finds out why few Muslims ever come to Christ. This is a very, very powerful film and truly one that every professing Christian, especially in America, should see. Great truth presented. Cast: Darin Grebel, Eddie Hailey
Writer-Producer-Director: John Schmidt 53 Minutes, Drama, Our price: $19

3. “LIVING WATER” CD by SIMPLE TRUTH – missions songs. Based in Denver, is a great world missions oriented band. Apparently they sound a lot like 2nd Chapter of Acts and were on staff with Caleb Project during their formative years. Ordering info re their CD

4. NATE WILSON MUSIC ALBUM ON MISSIONS
Nate would be grateful if someone could help him make professional quality recordings of his songs. You can contact him through his web site if you’re able to help.

5. MISSIONS CD’s & CASSETTES

LET THE NATIONS REJOICE - songbook and CD, compiled by Scott Wesley Brown and Frank Fortunato. The songbook has 30 songs celebrating God's global reign and challenging God's people to finish the task of world evangelization. The accompanying CD has 15 of the songs from the songbook as well as fully orchestrated stereo versions of those songs (Two CDs in one). For ordering info, send email to: Randy@usa.om.org.

9. MISSIONS MIME - Rachel, who has worked with Christian dance company BALLET MAGNIFICAT and BALLET EXALTATION, has put together a beautiful mime to Twila Paris’s song “HE IS NO FOOL”. To contact Rachel: AndyRachel@Juno.com.

10. CALEB PROJECT SLIDESCaleb Project apparently has a sizeable library of slides showing people from all around the world. They have a professional photographer who travels with all of their short-term teams into unreached people groups to take photos. Nate thinks that photo CD’s are available, but have to talk with Caleb Project’s Media Dept. Director, BOB CARLTON: BCarlton@CProject.com.

11. POETRY & MISSIONS: MERT HERSHBERGER'S Prayer and Poem list is a good resource in this area. MertAKA@everybody.org.

Let My People Go

12. SYMBOLS – apparently there is a historical form of the cross that has all four ends crossed to make a smaller cross in all four directions, and it represents the spread of the Gospel into all four points of the compass.

13. FESTIVAL OF NATIONS - a way to help people see, hear, taste, touch & smell missions by experiencing how people in other cultures live. Contact Partners Int'l. 800-966-5515

14. NEW MULTI-MEDIA, MINI-MISSIONS COURSE: Mission ONE leaders say their new multi-media course is like a Perspectives all rolled up in a dynamic, live 6-hour seminar. It's purpose is to help mobilize local churches in North America for missions - and serve the unique vision of the local church family at which it is presented. "Perfect for mission conferences, Operation WorldView covers the Biblical, Historical, Cultural, and Strategic aspects of global missions."
