CHRISTIAN
HOSPITALITY NETWORK -- Thanks to Christian
innkeepers,
more than 400 bed and breakfast inns now provide rooms and suites for
pastors and missionaries at substantially reduced rates. These inns are
located in all 50 states, Canada, England, Honduras, Nicaragua,
Thailand and the US Virgin Islands. Each inn offers a minimum of 25%
discount to full-time Christian workers. Many innkeepers offer
substantially greater discounts. These innkeepers, members of the
newly-formed Christian Hospitality Network, recognize the challenges of
full-time Christian service and seek to be an encouragement. They
invite you to visit their website at: .

MARC CENTRE - Abbotsford, BC, Canada
The Vision of the MARK Centre
is to lead people
to intimate places with God
where his voice can be heard.
The current vision statement of the MARK Centre you see above rests in our confidence in a God who speaks. As the gentle whisper that spoke life into Elijah's troubled heart, so are we encouraged to lead people to the same speaking God. We feel that we are learning more and more about the need for silence, solitude and simply time given to listening to God. As we watch people take time and make room for God, it encourages us to see God demonstrate his love and faithfulness every time he shows up and communicates in personal ways.
Identifying Our Values
---------
Listening to God
Hopefully this value will permeate every dimension of the MARK Centre ministry
in the years to come. We want God's will to be done, so we will listen for
him to guide us. We want people who we are privileged to lead on retreats
to listen and hear God's voice. Whether it be for an afternoon or a weekend,
we want to welcome people from all walks of life to listen to God in a beautifully
landscaped setting.
Discipleship for young adults
We are grateful for the opportunity we have had to give leadership to Youth
Mission International's TREK program these last five years. God always does
amazing things in the hearts of young people as they set time aside to draw
near to him. In the years to come, our desire is to provide a supportive home
base for TREK, which is now directed by Sam Dick. We also want to continue
to work with the Global Discipleship Training Alliance, that helps discipleship
programs get started all over the world.
An experiential component of long-term missionary training
Many missionaries recognize the value of something beyond class-room based
education to prepare them for their call. While not intending to offer an
academic program for credit, we want to augment existing missions programs.
In the future we hope to offer training experiences focusing on personal spirituality
and cultural immersion in the greater Vancouver area.
Restoration
God wants to restore and refresh people. Our desire is to partner with him
by providing a welcoming community for laborers who have been pouring themselves
out for others. We envision building facilities that will provide a resting
place for missionaries on break or transitioning back to home. We regularly
run into leaders who are experiencing exhaustion and we are not aware of many
ministries that are intentionally developing services to see them restored.

WINDMILL MEADOWS
MISSIONS FRIENDS: STAY AT A LOVELY CABIN IN COLORADO
(NOW FOR SALE!!!)--
Here's a
Brigada friend and business missionary making a luxury cabin on his
ranch available again this year for missionaries and pastors and their
kind. He does have a suggested small maintenance donation, but even it
goes into the ministry. A former B&B, it was described as "Elegance
and
the Wild West." For the author, philosopher, meditator, recluse, or the
very poor, he offers a hand-hewn "survival cabin" in a very quiet
place
away from it all at no charge...UNelegance and the Really Wild West."
GETAWAY WILDERNESS RETREAT -- The "near-wilderness"
cabin in the
Pike National Forest, 30 minutes from Colorado Springs, is ten minute's
hike from the ranch house of Windmill Meadow
Ranch. Originally a family
project as a fort for the grandsons, this hand-hewn log cabin is in a
beautiful, very quiet section of the property away from lights and any
civilized noised except for the occasional over-flying airplane.
Ambition got the better of grandpa who's turned it to a getaway perfect
for the pastor, missionary or worker (including couples) who needs to
write, reflect, get in touch or just (really !) get away. It's the
hike-in, rustic, dirt-floor, self-support version of the "Elegance and
the Wild West" B&B cabin for missionaries on the ranch. No charge,
thanks to the courtesy of the owner, gary@newseason.us
"...we're selling...Windmill Meadow Ranch. Consistent comments of guests affirm it's "everyone's" dream ranch in the Rockies, up the pass and into the highlands above Colorado Springs. It's the Ponderosa, it's the hard-earned retirement ranch, it's the perfect quiet professional therapy or home business location, it's the ideal ministry headquarters and guest location. It is freedom, wide open spaces, Springtime in the Rockies, and the setting for a dozen Louis 'Lamour novels.
So do you or someone you know want to live the dream? It's not a just a high-grade residence in a private mountain valley or even just a ranch estate; it's a way of life, a way of being, a way of being blessed by God and the wilderness surrounding the ranch and blessing others in return. Our sale could be called the "Jabezian Special."
Don't dismiss this too fast. You may be in a business, a profession, or a firm with someone in the big city who's both "made it" and "had it," ready to retire or ready to flame out with a soft landing. Or whose resources can enable them to do national, world, or home business based out of the ideal location (I love describing Eagles and Elk to someone on the phone in Malaysia). Or maybe you're more local and know of leadership changes or new execs longing to live NOT in the city even if they have to work there. Or a financially independent ministry board member who'd like to be nearer the ministry "action" of the "Springs".
Why are we selling? It's time. Time to enter a new season
of our life. Time to pass on the incredible blessing of the property. Time
to follow this inexpressibly wonderful--but Wild and Unpredictable--Lord God
Almighty in the new ways he is confirming that we are to follow. You can help
us get there.
Here's the real business part. While only a few of you will have the $1M plus
or the net worth to pass the credit check, it's who you know that might count
here. Since we are marketing this ourselves and with a broker, it's sort of
a race. If you care to earn a sizable "good will" or "finders"
gift, you may want to pass on the Web address, below, to someone you know
(with a copy to me) or send me and email with a name, number, email and a
bit of background (or call me at 719-687-5072), and I will contact them directly.
Even a broker you know may have just the right person in mind for a complete
change of location and ready to try "country" and freedom and a
less intense, more exciting, more fulfilling season of their life. We're secluded
in our 37 wooded valley, stream-laced acres, unable to see the lights of adjoining
ranches, yet only 10 minutes from a very exciting "City Above the Clouds"
(Woodland Park), 35 minutes from one of the greatest mini-metropolises of
our nation (Colorado Springs) and 45 minutes from the modern, quiet, safe
international airport.
So, steer me to someone to discuss this with or to a broker. The gift to you
personally or to your ministry will be substantial if we sell outside the
broker and still quite handsome if you help us get the brokers involved.
Don't mean to be tacky here. Just trying to enhance our conviction this is
a Kingdom event, and we want to enlarge the ring of potential beneficiaries
to our friends.
It is quite reasonable to wonder about the amounts we're committing, but to
keep this from getting any more tacky than it may already seem to you, I am
leaving out the "holy lucre" part. So please ask by phone or email.
The new Web site tells all and is strictly designed for selling Windmill Meadow
Ranch (note the fitting and newly personalized address): www.newseason.us.
For "just the facts," go to "Structures" and "The
Land".
