MK HOME PROVIDES UNDERSTANDING
AND RESOURCES TO RETURNING MKs --
MKSTAY, hosted by career missionaries Mark Tidwell and Dedria Davis-
Tidwell, offers a home for high-school and college-aged MKs whose
parents serve overseas. Mark and Dedria have years of experience in
providing MKs and their families with understanding, care and resources
to help MKs thrive and not just survive in America. At MKSTAY, MKs may
stay from overnight to a few years and have access to personal
transportation; educational, financial and career guidance; biblically-
sound and missions-minded local churches; a network of Christian
counselors; and experiential knowledge of life skills. Check them out
at
http://www.mkstay.org or email <info@mktay.org>
for more details on how
to settle your MKs in a trustworthy and supportive living situation.

A Third-Culture Kid (TCK, also known as Trans-Culture Kid) is "an individual who, having spent a significant part of the developmental years in a culture other than the parents' culture, develops a sense of relationship to all of the cultures while not having full ownership in any. Elements from each culture are incorporated into the life experience, but the sense of belonging is in relationship to others of similar experience." --David Pollock, Interaction Director
