REAL MISSIONARIES TO CANADA - by Bligh Stockwell
(Editor¡¦s Note) - Although Canada is no longer seen, by many, as a 'Christian'nation, we as believers have generally not understood how crucial our role is in reaching our post-modern and very international nation, and therefore have not taken the kinds of steps to adequately prepare ourselves or train those in our midst that God wants to 'send out' as trained cross-cultural missionaries into the many varied peoples filling our cities and nation.
Bligh¡¦s helpful book encourages us to think
through relevant ways to reach our international and post-modern society,
including the utilization of house churches and training those within our
midst to become missionaries that cross cultural barriers within our own society.

Here is the story of people who threw themselves into an
effort to take the teaching of Jesus seriously, "in scorn of the consequences."
The "consequences" have been amazing. These passionate Christians
have participated in saving hundreds of refugee lives, traveled to war zones
around the world, chased midnight trains bearing nuclear weapons, and endured
imprisonment. They have experienced nationwide media attention.
These Christians, based at Jubilee Partners in Comer, Georgia, have experienced an ever-deepening commitment to being channels of God's love in a violent world. Through sharing their story, Don Mosley with Joyce Hollyday invites thousands more Christians to join them in this effort.

CANADA AWAKENING
Roger and Marge Armbruster are Canadian bridge-builders who minister cross-culturally
- Marge by teaching English to new immigrants in rural southern Manitoba,
and Roger by helping to build the indigenous church in Canada's north, particularly
among the Inuit. Their ministry is based in the Maranatha Good News Centre
in Niverville, Manitoba - a local church they planted in 1978. Roger and Marge
have a longing to see those parts of Canadian society that are not necessarily
a part of the dominant culture ("the disconnected, disenfranchised and
marginalised") to find their rightful place as partners within the Body
of Christ. You can find out more about the their Canada Awakening ministry

Set Free: A Journey Towards Solidarity Against Racism - book
Racism is a name-caller. It warps self-concept, saps vibrant
communities, and atrophies spiritual connection. Although it takes different
forms, racism works hard shaping the identities of both white people and people
of color.
Using anecdote, analysis, and scriptural reflection, Set Free offers language
and insight to describe the names racism calls us. Six chapters define, illustrate,
and suggest response to internalized racist oppression among communities of
color. Three more chapters grapple with issues of internalized racist superiority
among white communities. The final four chapters present practical principles
and guidelines for working together across racial lines.
This collaborative project brings together decades of mutual experience dismantling racism in the Christian community and the combined perspectives of an African- American woman, a Mexic-Amerindian woman, and a white male. At times hopeful, consistently perceptive, and always grounded in real-life struggles, the authors have contributed a significant resource to those who are ready to take the next step beyond surface solutions to racism's insidious evil.

The Journey Toward Reconciliation - book
This book provides real-life stories, practical reflection,
and spiritual insight on constructive interaction with conflict while pursuing
reconciliation. We live in a multicultural, diverse, and interdependent world.
Too often our differences have led to division and violence. Even with modern
communications we still need to build relationships that nonviolently deal
with conflict and build pathways toward true reconciliation.
John Paul Lederach shares insight gained from years of work in international
mediation and deep spiritual reflection on the task of reconciliation. He
draws on personal experiences in deep-rooted conflict and relates them to
the biblical narrative of God seeking reconciliation throughout history. Conflict
will come. We choose how we respond to it. True reconciliation must couple
spiritual disciplines with personal, social, and international capacities
to interact helpfully with conflict. The author accompanies people divided
by hatred and violence on their journey to encounter themselves, each other,
and god.
People in all walks of life and in various settings will find this book compelling and insightful. Lederach offers help for conflicted families, church communities, neighborhoods, and nations working toward healing and understanding.

Video About Hell - a testimony from someone who claims to have been taken

* * *
An INCREDIBLE online video!!! - Glimpse of Eternity, by Ian McCormick
A wonderful way to also reach out to your unsaved friends!!
A friend of mine recently sent me this link and I wanted to pass it on to you. You will likely want to pass it on, too, to your Christian and non-Christian friends....
It's a video (which you can download for free) which is about a world traveller (starts off kindof like the Lonely Planet show) about a young guy who, on his travels, gets stung by 5 jellyfish (getting stung by one kills people) and he dies and comes back to life as God walks with him through the process...
It is through this experience that God reveals Himself to him and brings him into an understanding of his need for a relationship with God and for salvation.
I think this video is a wonderful way to reach out to those who don't know Jesus and you will see why!...I'm sure many from especially our contemporary culture which is involved increasingly in the the supernatural, will be very open to this.
The video is well done and very non-threatening....and so much of the Word is included.... Such a wonderful way to reach out to those whom the Lord is drawing to Himself in the privacy of their own homes!! - and an opportunity to further connect with those who send it to them if they're interested in finding out more...

May this video be a blessing to you and to many you know!!!

More Than Dreams:
From Dreams to Reality excellent DVD
a great way to encourage believers and to reach out to Muslims, etc.
Dreams and Visions of Jesus
For decades, a phenomenon has been recurring in the Muslim world. Men and women without any knowledge of the Gospel and without any contact with Christians have been forever transformed after experiencing dreams and visions of Jesus Christ. Reports of these supernatural occurrences often come from closed countries where preaching the Gospel is forbidden and where converting to Christianity can invoke the death sentence. A common denominator appears to be that the dreams come to those who are seeking to know and please God. We decided to capture some of these stories and use them as a witnessing tool to Muslims all over the world.
Real-life Stories
Through numerous personal interviews, we selected five true-life stories of
former Muslims who now know Jesus as their Savior. From the outset, the producers
endeavored to represent a global cross-section of Islam, and for that reason,
stories were selected from Egypt, Iran, Turkey, Nigeria, and Indonesia. More
Than Dreams re-created each of these stories, producing each in its original
language, in a docu-drama format and shot in high-definition video. The movies
include a ministry segment explaining what it means to follow Christ and leading
viewers in the salvation prayer.
Five Remarkable Testimonies - subtitles in English
Khalil (Egypt) - A radical Egyptian terrorist changed from a murderous Saul
to a forgiving Paul after Jesus Christ visited him in a soul-penetrating
dream. This hater of both Christians and Jews set out to discredit the Bible,
but instead, he was transformed when Jesus appeared to him and changed his
heart. (in Arabic * 28:51 minutes)
Mohammed (Nigeria) - This Fulani herdsman in Nigeria found the deep love and
lordship of Jesus Christ through a series of remarkable dreams. Jesus
appearance in those dreams altered the course of his life. Though his father
tried to kill him in the wake of his conversion, he survived the various attempts
on his life and eventually led his father to faith in Christ.
(in Hausa * 45:50 minutes)
Dini (Indonesia) - An Indonesian teenager let down by family, friends and
society, became a Christian the night Jesus appeared to her in a vision. That
special night was Lailatul Qadar when Muslims individualize their prayers
to Allah. From the moment she saw Jesus, His peace filled her heart and stayed
