PRAYER DECLARATION FOR CANADA

Thanks to Val Dodd from Oakville, Ontario for passing on this prayer
declaration. He's been using it again in the special season of prayer and
fasting that churches in the Toronto area are observing for forty days. (thanks to Sam Buick for this item)

PRAYER DECLARATION FOR CANADA

In the name of Jesus and by the Spirit of God, we declare and make known to
all principalities and powers, rulers and authorities in the heavenly
places that the Kingdom of God is now released over Canada. We call upon
the Holy Spirit and the angelic host to stir the church of Jesus Christ in
this nation to rise in holy boldness and begin to declare and do the mighty
works of God. We release a Spirit of repentance in ourselves and in the
people of Canada that will cleanse us from sin and begin a revival in our
land. We stand boldly opposed to the spirits of division, rebellion and
false religion that would destroy our national identity, and we release a
new Spirit of love for one another, cutting across cultural an linguistic
barriers and binding us together in renewal covenant unity. We pray for our
leaders, governments and courts. We pray that the blessings of God would
bestowed on them and that their decisions would once again reflect our
Christian heritage and Biblical foundations. We pray that the
multi-cultural fabric of our society will become a vehicle for world
evangelism as revival touches every tribe and tongue and the message is
dispersed around the globe.

We pray these things in the unity of the Spirit, knowing that our enemy is
a defeated foe and we have the victory in and through the name of Jesus. We
ask that the Kingdom of God extend across the nation from sea to sea. We
press back the forces of darkness and release the light. We resist the lie
of Satan and speak in the Spirit of truth. We rebuke all those who have set
themselves against the will of God and command that they be brought down to
destruction. We rise in the power of the Spirit of Almighty God to operate
in signs and wonders and a demonstration of His righteousness. We release
miracles, Healings salvation and holiness in our lives and ministries. And
we commit to this work, by God’s grace, until Jesus comes.

This we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Deception of Democracy re Same Sex Marriages

Dear Friends,
I attended the meeting last Friday with our Federal Justice MP MartinCauchon
re: Same-Sex Marriage. Following is my experience and report of it.
Linda

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - OP/ED
September 15, 2003

CAUCHON MANEUVERS SAME-SEX MARRIAGE OPPOSITION BY MANIPULATING MEDIA

As I am a named person within an article penned by Doug Ward re: Martin
Cauchon's visit to Vancouver, I write to protest the inaccurate coverage
this event was given in the Saturday edition of The Vancouver Sun. Mr. Ward
failed to note a number of facts that would have completely changed the tone
of his article. Let me clarify:

SFU organizer, Susan Jamieson-McLarnon's invitation read: "You are invited
to a dialogue with the federal minister of justice. The issue of same-sex
marriages is currently generating much discussion among Canadians. On
Friday, Sept. 12 at 10:30-11:30 am, the federal minister of justice Martin
Cauchon will be here at Harbour Centre to hear what you have to say on this
topic."

First of all, the title for the Vancouver Sun article "Justice minister heckled at SFU
over same-sex bill" suggests that the public disrupted the meeting while the
minister was speaking. That is not true. The minister was one-half hour late in
showing up for the meeting. Then MP Hedy Fry gave a long-winded
introduction of the speaker. He then spent a total of twenty minutes with
the group, mostly taken up by Ms. Fry and him, raving about their government's
agenda. He also successfully sidestepped all four questions that were
allowed within that time frame. There was no debate. Mr. Cauchon stated
emphatically, and repeatedly, "We are striking the right balance," meaning,
in other words, "We will do what we will do." Ms Fry abruptly closed the
meeting, and pulled the minister towards the door, which stunned and
mortified the people. He was walking out of the forum after spending only
20 minutes with them!

At this point in the meeting, I stood and loudly protested to him: "You were
supposed to spend and hour to dialogue with us about Same-Sex Marriage. You
came half an hour late to the meeting and spent only spent 20 minutes with us.
You have not heard us, so do not go back to Ottawa and say that you have
listened to the people of BC. You have not!" The room was in an uproar
over the audacity of his actions. Other people could be heard making their
own statements. One statement was: "Welcome to Nazi Canada!"

Another very important fact that was absent from the reporter's article is
that a secret meeting was held before the publicly promoted meeting. All
media members, including major Television and Radio stations were ushered
into a different room to meet with the Minister and an exclusive contingency
of proponents for Same-Sex Marriage. (This included Hedy Fry and Ms.
Sutherland, who is a spokesperson for Gay and Lesbian Educators of BC.)
This "media-fest" is what made the Minister late for his appointed time with
the public. A media cameraman who was present at the secret meeting gave
verification of this information. He also verified that when their meeting
ended, they were advised they could not follow the Minister to the next
meeting, as it was a "closed meeting"!! Three non-abiding reporters made it
into the room, while all other major media was conspicuously missing. (That
is how The Sun got the information to write the noted article, as Mr. Ward
was present.)

In the room where the people were kept waiting until 11:05 for the Minister
to arrive, a block of seats had been restricted with "reserved" signs and
tape. As the secret meeting was about to break out, the signs and tape were
removed by an SFU organizer. The elite group that had accompanied Mr.
Cauchon in the secret meeting poured into the room with him to fill them.
That makes evident that the organizers knew full well about the deception
game going on. The media were kept at a safe distance from hearing any
opposition to the government's sale of their Same-Sex bill. The SFU
organizers orchestrated it very well with the Governmental officials
involved, to assure that their propaganda would be the only point of view
reported. No dissenting voice was to be heard! Is this the "new democracy"
of Canada?

Truly, there will be no democracy in Canada if the actions of our Supreme
Courts and Federal Liberal government are left unchecked, and allowed to
railroad the citizens of Canada into quiet submission. We must not be
silent! We must, as our forefathers, fight for freedom, democracy, and from
being ruled over by autocratic dictatorships such as the current government
that is setting itself up to rule over us. The Notwithstanding Clause
(section 33 of the Charter) must be invoked by our provincial MLAs to put a
stop to the federal government's agenda. This is a very sad day for
Canadian democracy. A very sad day indeed!

Subject: Important! Phone in Your View on Same Sex Marriage to Federal Govt!
Date: Wed, 9 Jul 2003 06:06:38 -0700

Dear friends,

I am forwarding this to you from another friend. I have made these calls and it works just as they say it does below. This week marked the first same sex marriage in BC between two men. I understand BC and Ontario are the first two provinces to endorse this.

Please read below and make your own decision.

------

Dear Friends,

Apparently the Justice Minister is interested to see how the public is reacting to their decision not to appeal the Ontario Court ruling. This ruling says that same-sex marriage must be allowed in Canada. The Minister is in the middle of drafting legislation to send to the Supreme Court of Canada for approval. We have the opportunity to send a message that we do not support this move.

It is undemocratic for the courts to decide such a major issue in the life and culture of Canada. If the Supreme Court decides that the proposed legislation passes the Charter test then how can the MP's possibly turn this down when it comes to a vote in the fall? Also the Justice Minister has the capacity to issue a "stay" to the Ontario court ruling so that no more so-called same-sex marriages can take place. We must insist on this.

Here are 2 numbers to call to register your view on the same-sex marriage legislation. Please act now since we do not know how long this opportunity will be before us.

1. You can call 1 (613) 992-4621 to express your opinion on gay-marriages in Canada with the federal government. The Department of Justice is taking a tally from the phone calls. No other information is required but whether you agree or not. When you tell the receptionist you are calling to log your opinion on the issue, your yes or no will be recorded.

2. You can also take ten seconds to voice your opinion at this number: 1 (416) 870-4424.if you want to vote NO to same sex marriages. You do not need to say anything when you dial this number. Your vote is automatically recorded as a no. It takes about 10 seconds. This number connects with Toronto's News.

Please take the minute to call both of these numbers, and pass it on to all of the people you know who are opposed to this legislation. Also, please do it soon, the deadline is fast approaching.

Thanks,

Myrna.

HOLLY's LAW - Toronto

Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2003 1:50 PM
Subject: Holly's Law

"Monday May 12, one day after mother's day, ten year old Holly Jones said goodbye to her mother for the last time. Her tiny body washed ashore of Toronto's Wards Island less than 24 hours later sexually assaulted,
dismembered and entombed in several black duffle bags.
Two Hundred and forty three convicted child molesters live within 3 km of Holly's west end Toronto neighbourhood. Under the current law, a convicted
child molester can be released into the community after serving relatively light sentences. Their rights to freedom and privacy is protected by law while members of the community in which they live are not entitled to
notification of their presence in their neighbourhood. Convicted child molesters are allowed to interact freely with our children even when their is a known and real threat for them to re-offend.

Holly's law will clarify the definition of a child molester, make it a federal offence, and incarcerate any convicted child molester for life" Please go to www.hollyslaw.ca and sign the petition they are

trying to pass. And, please pass this on to those you can.

They thank you.

Urgent Action Alert: Please Support the National Marriage e-Referendum!

This may be our last best chance to show Parliament that a majority of Canadians oppose legalizing same-sex marriage.

Actions Requested:
* Cast your vote on the National Marriage e-Referendum <http://www.referendumcanada.ca>
* Forward this alert on to at least ten others you know and urge them to vote on the referendum as well. It is important that as many Canadians as possible participate, no matter what their position on same sex marriage.

(Please see details below)

----------

Dear Friend of Marriage,

I am making this appeal to you because you have already shown that you are willing to stand to defend traditional marriage in Canada. You have signed our National Marriage Petition, e-mailed the Prime Minister through our Web site or in some other way have participated with us in defense of marriage and the family.

Now I am asking you to act once again in defense of traditional marriage in Canada.

Tens of thousands of Canadians have contacted the Prime Minister urging him to put the question of whether to legalize same sex marriage in Canada to a vote of the people under the Referendum Act of 1992. In fact, more than 45,000 of you have contacted him through our Defend Marriage Canada Project Web site alone.

But even with this outpouring of support, and even in the face of national opinion polls showing that a large majority of Canadians want this question put to a national referendum, the Prime Minister stubbornly refuses to do so. Instead, he is doggedly trying to ram a bill through Parliament, Bill C-38, which would legalize same-sex marriage in Canada.

This is why we are launching the National Marriage e-Referendum <http://www.referendumcanada.ca> to give every Canadian the opportunity to make their voice heard on this critically important issue.

The language of the referendum is simple: “Shall Parliament pass bill C-38 to legalize same-sex marriage in Canada?” It is posted on a special Web site, www.referendumcanada.org <http://www.referendumcanada.ca> , and we have tried to make this site as neutral on the issue as possible. For those still undecided, we even provide links to Web pages of groups that have taken positions both for and against Bill C-38.

The results of the referendum will be provided to every MP before the third reading vote on C-38.

Time to act may be very short!

The parliamentary situation is in a state of flux and the very continuation of this government is precarious at best. But we have to assume that the vote will come before Parliament rises for its summer recess at the end of June..

Please act today! Take a few minutes and cast your vote on the e-referendum and then contact at least ten others to urge them to also vote. It does not matter so much how they feel about this issue as it does that as many Canadians as possible participate.

If enough Canadians do participate, this referendum (and especially the publicity it would generate) can make the difference when the vote is as close as this one is likely to be.

Please do everything you can to make this effort a success. The very future of our country, and of our children and grandchildren, literally depends on whether we can preserve traditional marriage and the natural family in Canada.

Thank you for whatever you can do.

Sincerely,

Hon. Dr. Grant Hill, P.C.
