OPPORTUNITY TO HELP ENCOURAGE the YWAM GHANA SCHOOL OF WORSHIP & Then Enjoying Your Ghanian Worship CD
Dearly Beloved In Christ,
Graceful greetings to you from Youth WITH A MISSION, Ghana.
My name is Nicholas Oddoye who is pioneering the School of Music And Worship in Ghana, YWAM with a vision of reaching out the rest of Africa and the world through Music and Worship. Helping the indigenous tribes come out with their own scriptural-base worship songs. My vision is based on Psa. 95:6 and Rev. 7:9.
This is our felt need and I strongly believe this school is an answer to the cry of God s people.
The school begins in April to the 19th of September, 2003.
Until all have heard,
Nicholas Oddoye (School Leader; School of Music and Worship).

OPPORTUNITY TO HELP ENCOURAGE the YWAM GHANA SCHOOL OF WORSHIP
& Then Enjoying Your Ghanian Worship CD

Dear friend,
Greetings from Ghana, where I (Paul) have been teaching about "music
and missions" to a group of African students (and one American) at a
School of Worship run by Youth With A Mission.
For many months the school has been praying earnestly for finances, both for
daily living expenses and for running this School of Worship in Ghana. A week
ago we were at a point where we didnt have enough funds even to pay
for the days food in the kitchen. We prayed, fasted, and sought the
Lord. Through unexpected circumstances God brought about a special opportunity
that is an answer to our prayers.
One thing my students are doing is composing
new Christian songs. Each student uses his or her own local language and music
system. As they sang the first set of songs, I was amazed by the quality of
the songs and performances - I've been listening to African music of different
types for about 25 years, and these songs were as good as any I have heard.
I had a vision - and it has been confirmed in numerous ways in recent days
- of professionally recording the songs on a compilation CD and using the
profits to keep the school afloat, this year and in future years.
The proceeds from this compilation CD will
fund the missionary training of needy students from all over the world within
the School of Worship at YWAM Ghana. It will also help to fund needed supplies
for the school.
The songs, once recorded and distributed, will provide a great blessing to many regions within Ghana. These songs can be used for worship, evangelism and church planting. Our hearts desire is that people would hear the words of the Bible, communicated through culturally appropriate music and language, and that they would be drawn to love and worship the Lord:
All the nations You have made will come
and worship you
And glorify Your name. Psalm 86:9
We ask you to prayerfully consider making this vision a reality. We need 40 people or groups to give at least $50 each to record, produce and duplicate this studio-quality CD. We are also producing a video recording of the songs in live performance. If you are interested in being part of this special project that will bear fruit for years to come, please contact me as soon as possible.
This project will need much prayer weve
already started recording!
We ask for:
Divine and human favor while recording
Health for the students and staff
Appropriate equipment that works
Inspiration from Gods spirit to continue to produce great songs
Timing and scheduling to work out for all parties
The recording process at the studio to go smoothly
Gods help as we balance the demands of recording with the regular school
curriculum.
As a token of our appreciation we would
love to give you a free copy of the CD when it is completed. Thank you very
much for your time and support.
Donations can be sent with cheques in US dollars or US Money Orders being
written out to Paul Neeley and sent to his home address: Paul Neeley, 734
Middale Rd., Duncanville, TX 75116 USA
Thanks for your interest!! They think this has potential to have a great impact
in multiple ways including 1) raising funds, 2) recruitment for the SOW in
Ghana, and 3) introducing Westerners to indigenous hymns from W. Africa.
They have been going full-team-ahead with the studio CD recording and then
will finish the video recording. Thanks again for all your prayers!
That all the nations may know the love
of Christ,
Paul Neeley (in Ghana for a little while) - neeleypl@netscape.net
