God, in His great grace and mercy, is always taking the initiative to woo us back to Himself and to His gracious purposes and desires for us. It is a day when many believers are sensing that Jesus is in the process of WAKING UP HIS CHURCH in these days in order to see His last days purposes for His Bride coming to pass. (ie. Arise, my Darling...) He is waking us up individually but even more importantly, corporately...in order for us to be able to be who He is calling us to be in these days, we need to be in unity with Him and with His Bride and work TOGETHER to see His purposes accomplished.
Although most of the calls in Scripture to ARISE are from God to His people, there are also calls from His people to HIM to ARISE in various situations.
Interestingly, various Scriptures referring to the THIRD DAY in Scripture seem to go hand in hand with His calls to the Church to ARISE..I personally believe that we as the Church are in the transition into the THIRD DAY...a day in which God does much RESTORATION! in the midst of much turmoil on the earth.

Numbers 23:18
Then he uttered his oracle: "Arise,
Balak, and listen; hear me, son of Zippor. 19 God is
not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his
mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? 20
I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it..."
Deuteronomy 13:13
that wicked men have arisen among you and have led the people of their town
astray, saying, "Let us go and worship other gods" (gods you have
not known),
Judges 5
The Song of Deborah
1 On that day Deborah and Barak son of Abinoam sang this song:
2 "When the princes in Israel take the lead, when the people willingly offer themselves- praise the LORD ! 3 "Hear this, you kings! Listen, you rulers! I will sing to [a] the LORD , I will sing; I will make music to [b] the LORD , the God of Israel. 4 "O LORD , when you went out from Seir, when you marched from the land of Edom, the earth shook, the heavens poured, the clouds poured down water. 5 The mountains quaked before the LORD , the One of Sinai, before the LORD , the God of Israel. 6 "In the days of Shamgar son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the roads were abandoned; travelers took to winding paths. 7 Village life [c] in Israel ceased, ceased until I, [d] Deborah, arose, arose a mother in Israel. 8 When they chose new gods, war came to the city gates, and not a shield or spear was seen among forty thousand in Israel. 9 My heart is with Israel's princes, with the willing volunteers among the people. Praise the LORD ! 10 "You who ride on white donkeys, sitting on your saddle blankets, and you who walk along the road, consider 11 the voice of the singers [e] at the watering places. They recite the righteous acts of the LORD , the righteous acts of his warriors [f] in Israel. "Then the people of the LORD went down to the city gates.
12 'Wake up, wake up, Deborah! Wake up, wake up, break out in song! Arise, O Barak! Take captive your captives, O son of Abinoam.'
13 "Then the men who were left came down to the nobles; the people
of the LORD came to me with the mighty. 14 Some came from Ephraim,
whose roots were in Amalek; Benjamin was with the people who followed
you. From Makir captains came down, from Zebulun those who bear a commander's
staff. 15 The princes of Issachar were with Deborah;
yes, Issachar was with Barak, rushing after him
into the valley. In the districts of Reuben there
was much searching of heart. 16 Why did you stay among the campfires
[g] to hear the whistling for the flocks? In the districts
of Reuben there was much searching of
heart. 17 Gilead stayed beyond the Jordan. And Dan, why
did he linger by the ships? Asher remained on
the coast and stayed in his coves. 18 The people of Zebulun risked
their very lives; so did Naphtali on the heights of the field. 19 "Kings
came, they fought; the kings of Canaan fought at Taanach by the waters of
Megiddo, but they carried off no silver, no plunder. 20 From the heavens the
stars fought, from their courses they fought against Sisera. 21 The river
Kishon swept them away, the age-old river, the river Kishon. March on, my
soul; be strong! 22 Then thundered the horses' hoofs- galloping, galloping
go his mighty steeds. 23 'Curse Meroz,' said the angel of the LORD . 'Curse
its people bitterly, because they did not come to help
the LORD , to help the LORD against the
mighty.' 24 "Most blessed of women be Jael, the wife of
Heber the Kenite, most blessed of tent-dwelling women. 25 He asked for water,
and she gave him milk; in a bowl fit for nobles she brought him curdled milk.
26 Her hand reached for the tent peg, her right hand for the workman's hammer.
She struck Sisera, she crushed his head, she shattered and pierced his temple.
27 At her feet he sank, he fell; there he lay. At her feet he sank, he fell;
where he sank, there he fell-dead. 28 "Through the window peered Sisera's
mother; behind the lattice she cried out, 'Why is his chariot so long in coming?
Why is the clatter of his chariots delayed?' 29 The wisest of her ladies answer
her; indeed, she keeps saying to herself, 30 'Are they not finding and dividing
the spoils: a girl or two for each man, colorful garments as plunder for Sisera,
colorful garments embroidered, highly embroidered garments for my neck- all
this as plunder?' 31 "So may all your enemies perish, O LORD ! But
may they who love you be like the sun when
it rises in its strength." Then the land had peace forty years
2 Chronicles 6
1 Then Solomon said, "The LORD has said that
he would dwell in a dark cloud;.....2 I have built a magnificent
temple for you, a place for you to dwell forever."
3 While the whole assembly of Israel was standing there, the king turned around
and blessed them. 4 Then he said: "Praise be to the LORD , the God of
Israel, who with his hands has fulfilled what he promised
with his mouth to my father David. For he said, 5 'Since the day I
brought my people out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel
to have a temple built for my Name to be there, nor have I chosen anyone to
be the leader over my people Israel. 6 But now I have chosen Jerusalem for
my Name to be there, and I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.' 7
"My father David had it in his heart to build a temple for the Name of
the LORD , the God of Israel. 8 But the LORD said to my father David, 'Because
it was in your heart to build a temple for my Name, you did well to have this
in your heart. 9 Nevertheless, you are not the one to build the temple, but
your son, who is your own flesh and blood-he is the one who will build the
temple for my Name.' 10 "The LORD has kept
the promise he made. I have succeeded David my father and now I sit
on the throne of Israel, just as the LORD promised, and I have built the temple
for the Name of the LORD , the God of Israel. 11 There
I have placed the ark, in which is the covenant of the LORD that he made with
the people of Israel."
Solomon's Prayer of Dedication
12 Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the whole assembly
of Israel and spread out his hands. 13 Now he had made a bronze platform,
five cubits [a] long, five cubits wide and three cubits [b] high, and had
placed it in the center of the outer court. He stood on the platform and then
knelt down before the whole assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward
heaven. 14 He said:
"O LORD , God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on earth-you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way. 15 You have kept your promise to your servant David my father; with your mouth you have promised and with your hand you have fulfilled it-as it is today. 16 "Now LORD , God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father the promises you made to him when you said, 'You shall never fail to have a man to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your sons are careful in all they do to walk before me according to my law, as you have done.' 17 And now, O LORD , God of Israel, let your word that you promised your servant David come true. 18 "But will God really dwell on earth with men? The heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built! 19 Yet give attention to your servant's prayer and his plea for mercy, O LORD my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence. 20 May your eyes be open toward this temple day and night, this place of which you said you would put your Name there. May you hear the prayer your servant prays toward this place. 21 Hear the supplications of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place; and when you hear, forgive. 22 "When a man wrongs his neighbor and is required to take an oath and he comes and swears the oath before your altar in this temple, 23 then hear from heaven and act. Judge between your servants, repaying the guilty by bringing down on his own head what he has done. Declare the innocent not guilty and so establish his innocence. 24 "When your people Israel have been defeated by an enemy because they have sinned against you and when they turn back and confess your name, praying and making supplication before you in this temple, 25 then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them back to the land you gave to them and their fathers. 26 "When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because your people have sinned against you, and when they pray toward this place and confess your name and turn from their sin because you have afflicted them, 27 then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel. Teach them the right way to live, and send rain on the land you gave your people for an inheritance. 28 "When famine or plague comes to the land, or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers, or when enemies besiege them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come, 29 and when a prayer or plea is made by any of your people Israel-each one aware of his afflictions and pains, and spreading out his hands toward this temple- 30 then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Forgive, and deal with each man according to all he does, since you know his heart (for you alone know the hearts of men), 31 so that they will fear you and walk in your ways all the time they live in the land you gave our fathers.
32 "As for the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm-when he comes and prays toward this temple, 33 then hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel, and may know that this house I have built bears your Name. 34 "When your people go to war against their enemies, wherever you send them, and when they pray to you toward this city you have chosen and the temple I have built for your Name, 35 then hear from heaven their prayer and their plea, and uphold their cause. 36 "When they sin against you-for there is no one who does not sin-and you become angry with them and give them over to the enemy, who takes them captive to a land far away or near; 37 and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captivity and say, 'We have sinned, we have done wrong and acted wickedly'; 38 and if they turn back to you with all their heart and soul in the land of their captivity where they were taken, and pray toward the land you gave their fathers, toward the city you have chosen and toward the temple I have built for your Name; 39 then from heaven, your dwelling place, hear their prayer and their pleas, and uphold their cause. And forgive your people, who have sinned against you.
40 "Now, my God, may your eyes be open and your ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
41 "Now arise, O LORD God,
and come to your resting place,
you and the ark of your might. May
your priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, may
your saints rejoice in your goodness. 42 O LORD God, do not reject
your anointed one. Remember the great love promised to David your servant."

Isaiah 28
Woe to Ephraim
1 Woe to that wreath, the pride of Ephraim's drunkards, to the fading flower,
his glorious beauty, set on the head of a fertile valley- to that city, the
pride of those laid low by wine! 2 See, the Lord has one who is powerful and
strong. Like a hailstorm and a destructive wind, like a driving rain and a
flooding downpour, he will throw it forcefully to the ground. 3 That wreath,
the pride of Ephraim's drunkards, will be trampled underfoot. 4 That fading
flower, his glorious beauty, set on the head of a fertile valley, will be
like a fig ripe before harvest- as soon as someone sees it and takes it in
his hand, he swallows it.
5 In that day the LORD Almighty will be a glorious crown, a beautiful wreath for the remnant of his people. 6 He will be a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.
7 And these also stagger from wine and reel from beer: Priests and prophets stagger from beer and are befuddled with wine; they reel from beer, they stagger when seeing visions, they stumble when rendering decisions. 8 All the tables are covered with vomit and there is not a spot without filth.
9 "Who is it he is trying to teach? To whom is he explaining his message? To children weaned from their milk, to those just taken from the breast?
10 For it is: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule [a] ; a little here, a little there."
11 Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues God will speak to this people, 12 to whom he said, "This is the resting place, let the weary rest"; and, "This is the place of repose"- but they would not listen. 13 So then, the word of the LORD to them will become: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there- so that they will go and fall backward, be injured and snared and captured.
14 Therefore hear the word of the LORD , you scoffers who rule this people in Jerusalem. 15 You boast, "We have entered into a covenant with death, with the grave [b] we have made an agreement. When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by, it cannot touch us, for we have made a lie our refuge and falsehood [c] our hiding place."
16 So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed. 17 I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb line; hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie, and water will overflow your hiding place. 18 Your covenant with death will be annulled; your agreement with the grave will not stand.
When the overwhelming scourge sweeps by, you will be beaten down by it. 19 As often as it comes it will carry you away; morning after morning, by day and by night, it will sweep through." The understanding of this message will bring sheer terror. 20 The bed is too short to stretch out on, the blanket too narrow to wrap around you. 21 The LORD will rise up as he did at Mount Perazim, he will rouse himself as in the Valley of Gibeon- to do his work, his strange work, and perform his task, his alien task. 22 Now stop your mocking, or your chains will become heavier; the Lord, the LORD Almighty, has told me of the destruction decreed against the whole land.
23 Listen and hear my voice; pay attention and hear what I say. 24 When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and harrowing the soil? 25 When he has leveled the surface, does he not sow caraway and scatter cummin? Does he not plant wheat in its place, [d] barley in its plot, [e] and spelt in its field? 26 His God instructs him and teaches him the right way. 27 Caraway is not threshed with a sledge, nor is a cartwheel rolled over cummin; caraway is beaten out with a rod, and cummin with a stick. 28 Grain must be ground to make bread; so one does not go on threshing it forever. Though he drives the wheels of his threshing cart over it, his horses do not grind it. 29 All this also comes from the LORD Almighty, wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom.

Note by G. Wiebe: Reminds me of: Hosea 6
1 "Come, let us return to the LORD . He has torn us to pieces but
he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds. 2 After
two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may
live in his presence. 3 Let us acknowledge the LORD ; let us press on to acknowledge
him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the
winter rains, like the spring
rains that water the earth."
Also reminds me of:
1 Samuel 30
1 David and his men reached Ziklag on the
third day. Now the Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag.
They had attacked Ziklag and burned it, 2 and had taken captive the women
and all who were in it, both young and old. They killed none of them, but
carried them off as they went on their way.
3 When David and his men came to Ziklag, they found it destroyed by fire and
their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. 4 So David and his men wept
aloud until they had no strength left to weep. 5 David's two wives had been
captured-Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail, the widow of Nabal of Carmel. 6 David
was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one
was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength
in the LORD his God.
7 Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, "Bring me the ephod." Abiathar brought it to him, 8 and David inquired of the LORD , "Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?"
"Pursue them," he answered. "You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue."
9 David and the six hundred men with him came to the Besor Ravine, where some stayed behind, 10 for two hundred men were too exhausted to cross the ravine. But David and four hundred men continued the pursuit.
11 They found an Egyptian in a field and brought him to David. They gave him water to drink and food to eat- 12 part of a cake of pressed figs and two cakes of raisins. He ate and was revived, for he had not eaten any food or drunk any water for three days and three nights.
13 David asked him, "To whom do you belong, and where do you come from?"
He said, "I am an Egyptian, the slave of an Amalekite. My master abandoned me when I became ill three days ago. 14 We raided the Negev of the Kerethites and the territory belonging to Judah and the Negev of Caleb. And we burned Ziklag."
15 David asked him, "Can you lead me down to this raiding party?"
He answered, "Swear to me before God that you will not kill me or hand me over to my master, and I will take you down to them."
16 He led David down, and there they were, scattered over the countryside, eating, drinking and reveling because of the great amount of plunder they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from Judah. 17 David fought them from dusk until the evening of the next day, and none of them got away, except four hundred young men who rode off on camels and fled. 18 David recovered everything the Amalekites had taken, including his two wives. 19 Nothing was missing: young or old, boy or girl, plunder or anything else they had taken. David brought everything back. 20 He took all the flocks and herds, and his men drove them ahead of the other livestock, saying, "This is David's plunder."
21 Then David came to the two hundred men who had been too exhausted to follow him and who were left behind at the Besor Ravine. They came out to meet David and the people with him. As David and his men approached, he greeted them. 22 But all the evil men and troublemakers among David's followers said, "Because they did not go out with us, we will not share with them the plunder we recovered. However, each man may take his wife and children and go."
23 David replied, "No, my brothers, you must not do that with what the LORD has given us. He has protected us and handed over to us the forces that came against us. 24 Who will listen to what you say? The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike." 25 David made this a statute and ordinance for Israel from that day to this.
26 When David arrived in Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to the elders of Judah, who were his friends, saying, "Here is a present for you from the plunder of the LORD's enemies."
27 He sent it to those who were in Bethel, Ramoth Negev and Jattir; 28 to those in Aroer, Siphmoth, Eshtemoa 29 and Racal; to those in the towns of the Jerahmeelites and the Kenites; 30 to those in Hormah, Bor Ashan, Athach 31 and Hebron; and to those in all the other places where David and his men had roamed.
