TSR Museum Textiles - The Museum has a large collection of folk costumes, embroideries and weavings from the arab/Islamic world. There is a good collection of Palestinian, Syrian and Jordanian costume and embroideries, dating mainly from the late nineteenth century including some that are mid to late twentieth century, providing it can still be classified as national costume. The other areas comprise the Ottoman empire, India, Yemen , Arabia and Iran, Turkoman and Uzbek. There are quite a number of varied costumes,weavings and embroideries(Lakai etc) from various groups in Afganistan which include the Hazaras,Lakai work, the Uzbeks etc.
