Richmond Art Gallery: Call for Proposals


The Richmond Art Gallery is accepting proposals for the 2005-2006 exhibition period. Work in all mediums will be considered. The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2004. All submissions must include application form, a maximum of 8 slides, a letter of intent, an artist statement, curriculum vitae and a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage for return of materials. Surrey Call for Entry

The City of Surrey invites artists or artists teams to submit credentials for the inclusion of public art in a new Surrey Museum in Cloverdale. The selected artist(s) will work in cooperation with the Design Team and in consultation with relevant community members. The total designated budget for this project is $40,800. The organizers of this event are looking for artists, musicians, poets, comedians, and more to showcase their works at this unique weekly event. Cover is only $2. The Campbell River & District Public Art Gallery is calling for proposal for its 2005 programming year theme, The Interplay of Space and Form. Strathmore Art Contest 2004
Strathmore, a maker of fine art papers since 1897, are once again holding the Strathmore Art Contest. Entries can be any subject and any 2-dimensional medium. The only requirements are that they be original and on Strathmore brand papers. There are three categories: General Artist, Student Artist and Digital Artist. Entries must be submitted in the form of 35mm slides, except for Digital Art entries, which must be printed on Strathmore paper. All entries must be postmarked by March 31, 2004. Maximum three entries. Entry is free and cash prizes will be awarded.
