CHRISTIANS IN THE GLOBAL WORKPLACE

AZTEM is an Australian based, non-denominational, tentmaking
organisation whose purpose is to encourage and help Christians with
marketable skills to live and witness for Christ in cross cultural
situations, especially among people who have no easy access to the
Gospel. . The word "AZTEM" is a contraction of two interrelated
thoughts. "AZ" stands for Jesus Christ - the Alpha and Omega, the
First and the Last (Rev 1:8). "TEM" is an abbreviation of the word
"Tentmaker". At the AZTEM web site (see above) you will find
background information on the organisation (its goals and purposes),
some background thoughts on tentmaking (the tentmaking mandate
etc.), a list of tentmaking books for sale and a Job Site list which
provides web links to sources of job information. (Thanks to CMD Net for this info)

EVANGELISTIC COMMERCE
Evangelistic Commerce (EC) helps missions minded business leaders get
involved in countries that are closed to the gospel. In a November 22, 2002
Mission Network News item, JP Anderson of Evangelistic Commerce
comments, "A lot of countries are becoming a lot more selective on who they
allow in their country, using tactics that prohibit the spread of the gospel. And
so, we as a church have to look at ways that we can continue to present the
gospel to those who have not heard. How can we be a part of that redemptive
solution? We happen to think that business plays a role in that." Anderson says
they're hosting a special trip in January 2003 to help business leaders play a part
in the Great Commission. "Business professionals will go to a country that is
highly industrialised, but is very restricted. And, we will show ways that business
and missions are interacting and how they can play a role." For more

ICCC - International Christian Chamber of Commerce

ICCC represents a serious and challenging call to the Christian Business World to recognize the times we have entered into and in the light of that recognition, to come into a new dimension of faith available to those who fear the Lord... speak to one another... and meditate on His Name." (Malachi 3:16)
The vision calls for a world-wide network of committed businesspeople in contact with each other, exchanging ideas, products and services; helping sustain and strengthen each other materially and spiritually; and by the very existence of the vision, proclaiming the rightful authority of Christ to the world at large.

At the heart of the vision of ICCC is God's desire to extend his loving rule, through his church, into the market places of the world. This requires business people who seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness

Listing of some International Marketplace Ministries

Marketplace Ministries - The organisations listed below are Christian ministries with a marketplace focus. They are differentiated from marketplace groups in that that they are not so much places where people come together in their workplace as ministries serving people in the marketplace.

The International Coalition of Workplace Ministries (ICWM) is a fellowship of workplace believers who want to ignite leaders for workplace transformation by modeling Jesus Christ. We do this by inspiring, connecting and equipping leaders who want to transform the workplace for Christ. The ICWM website (www.icwm.net) is a clearinghouse for information, resources and organizations in the faith and work movement.

ICWM provides resources, information and networking to other organizations that will help you fulfill your calling in the workplace.
