PARABLES THROUGH THE ARTS - intro

Over the past months, I have been thinking a lot about the use of Parables in Scripture and how Jesus used this as a primary means of communicating His heart, which was the Kingdom of God - His main message and the upshot of His mandate for us!
I believe that we in the Church, in the western world, at least, have largely let this incredible tool of communication get dusty and rusty on the shelf while we have developed other approaches, many of which focus on the intellect through rote learning….but in doing so, how much have we also missed out on the potentially incredible HEART responses which we are wanting to see and which parables through the arts can more naturally encourage?
In the coming editions I hope to include more about this, and would also love to hear from any of you about artistic endeavours/projects on with regard to PARABLES THROUGH THE ARTS that you are working on, have done, or know about, which others might be interested in hearing about or potentially utilizing in their min.?
