If you know anyone who develops Christian Games or runs/works for a Christian Media outlet, please tell them about the Christian Game Developers Conference.

The Christian Game Developers Conference is where many of the Christian Game developers get together to talk about their games and how they will make them available, etc. The Christian Game Developers Conference is also the place where game developers show demos of their games to Christian and non-Christian Media outlets.
Please encourage interested parties in the Media to attend the Conference.
This year (2005), at the Electronics Entertainment Expo, Christian game developers hope to mix with the non-Christian developers in the world's largest gaming event. Please alert any Christian media outlets and encourage them to cover the Christian booths if possible!

N'Lightning
N'lightning made the best selling Christian game so far. The biggest Christian game developers need your help to buy equipment in order to develop games on all three video game platforms -intendo/Sony/Microsoft.
There are many costs involved in creating games on all
three platforms or even one, including:
-Licenses
-Royalties
-Development Kits
-PC Hardware
N'lightning is currently making a PS2 and X-Box game; however, the CEO, Ralph Bagley, said they don't have the ability to make one on GameCube. Nintendo is the last game company trying to promote good values in it's games and N'Lightning's CEO expressed they can't afford to make something for Nintendo, as of yet, due to having obsolete hardware and insufficient funds.
Brethren Entertainment
Brethren Entertainment is working hard on a few new Christian games. A Brethren executive has told me that if they receive enough support with their upcoming games, they will be able to make them available on GameBoyAdvance. Just a reminder that there are millions of GameBoyAdvances in circulation and Christian games will once again make it to the Public. Brethren Entertainment is working on a Christian alternative to FinalFantasy, a top selling RPG that utilizes Spells and Magic.
Christian video games are another step in evangelism.
The video game industry is currently worth a whopping 9-billion dollars a year with 1 in every 5 households owning a video game System. Modern day kids and teenagers are learning useful things in video games - like math, eye-hand coordination skills, logic, etc., but like with many other good things there is often a negative side, as well - so with video games. The video game market is quickly becoming increasingly Adult. Companies like Sony and Microsoft have lost faith in wholesome people and because of sales losses are quickly making violent and sexual games to remain profitable today.
Only one public video game company is trying to continue to make wholesome fun - Nintendo, However Nintendo is loosing sales quickly and will soon either go out of business, or, like the others, resort to producing vulgar games.
Many of the Christian game companies, as well as Nintendo, need your help to remain functional. While the market for Christian games is increasing, too many Christian companies are going under because there are not enough sales, and they need your help to reach non-believers through their direct or indirect approaches and in order to remain in business.
Many Christian and non-Christian parents alike do not want to encourage their children to spend so many of their waking hours in front of video games. However, kids will find places to watch videos and so it's far better to provide them with some wholesome and positive video games rather than not providing that possibility for them.
If you have Kids
I have come up with a few tips on how to choose which company to support.
I have done plenty of research on the three video game companies which, in my opinion, make the most wholesome games.
The most wholesome company:
(Nintendo) with their most recent Nintendo GameCube and Nintendo DS
And if you already have one of the three game systems, I have a list of wholesome games.

Above is a list of games that are Ok for kids over 5. While there is a very small amount of Fantasy Violence in a few of them, the games portray some good morals and lessons. DonkeyKong JungleBeat is the only game that is for ages 8 - 10+ , depending on the parent.
IF YOU WANT TO BUY A CONSOLE
X-Box = 199$ - X-Box is the teenage console of choice, having many violent and sexual games. This console should not be given to kids under the age of 10 and parents should pay close attention to what their teenager is playing if they do choose to buy this for them.
PS2 = 199$ - The Playstation2 is an adult-oriented console, having the most vulgar and mature games to date, so is not recommended for children/teens. These include GrandTheftAuto, PlayboyMansion, TheGuyGame, and many more.
Gamecube = 99$ - The Nintendo Gamecube is Nintendo's alternative to Violent Gaming. Nintendo, as usual, has made another Family-oriented console. This Console was made with a large amount of titles that everyone can enjoy. Nintendo has created a few games that Parents may want to check out before they buy them for Kids. For Nintendo I only know of one Game that is offensive to all ages and that is Eternal Darkness. Nintendo denied licenses to GrandTheftAuto, PlayboyMansion, LeasureSuitLarry, TheGuyGame because they Broke Nintendo's Moral standards. However, Nintendo is beginning to worry that there are no more Wholesome gamers.

Spread the Word
The Christian Game industry needs your help and support. Most of the Developers I contacted need you to help spread the word "Not All Games are Violent or Sexual".
Many games are good. Look past the scepticism and help spread the gospel through video games. Help these companies reach out to the public.
If you know any Christian Media outlets, please forward information regarding the Christian Game industry to them, and if you are a pastor, please inform your congregation about what is currently happening in the game industry.
Many Christian families are buying their Kids products without knowing what they are buying, and many companies are falling every day. Please help the few remaining gain strength in this ever-growing market. Help God reach those who have never heard the Gospel by promoting companies like Brethren Entertainment and promote the last more wholesome non-Christian organization, Nintendo, to help keep not only the Christian companies alive but the more wholesome ones as well. With your help we can help to evangelize millions of people.
